the presets are also coming back to DC – April 1st at the 9:30 – and yes I already have tickets. but in the mean time be sure to check out their new video for If I Know You here and some of my earlier posts on them
earlier i posted a video I found on Terry’s page of him shaving some heads (one rumored to be his staffer that he’s was trying to play off as an average Virginian) – but it wasn’t quite ready for prime time when I posted it – very embarrassing. well, its back up now all retitled and everything, but lucky for the terry camp, the Deeds camp also likes putting up videos that haven’t been finalized yet either:
but now the brooklyn band is hitting the road, promoting Hospice which they are releasing on March 3rd. their lyrics are slightly dark the way i like and the semi-shoegazy indie sound is really money. i really like the way their song Bear’s sound starts off small, builds for the chorus but comes back down for the second verse – and then comes back with the full band for the climax. peter, from the band has graciously allowed me to share the song here on the blog – so definitely check it out below.
if you like the sound – be sure to head over to their website antlersmusic.com where they have a bunch more music shared and also their mypace page. on their tour they’re going to be swinging through DC and hitting up one of my favorite venues – the cat – on march 11th – so i’m pretty excited to also check them out live.
but without any further adieu, here is Bear – so check it out:
and also be sure to check out all their tour dates below the fold:
from latest update via Lykki Li’s facebook page:
You might have noticed I got the nature fever. So I felt a great need to peel of all that is unnecessary and live in the moment and take away the possibility to correct my mistakes. So here is a one take totally live “take it or leave it I will survive take” of my song “Tonight”. It might be gone tomorrow so if you like it spread it on the world wide web thing where you kids hang… Check it here:
i put up a post about N.A.S.A. before. i don’t think it will be long before everyone is talking about them – bringing all these people together is really amazing, so be sure to check this out for some background:
This awesome live music video was shot at the Brian Moran Arlington Grassroots Kickoff (which I was of course at) on Sunday. It is sung by our amazing Arlington commissioner of revenue Ingrid Morroy’s band the Constituents at they’re beautiful home that was a major fixture last year in the campaign. Be sure to check it out – kinda reminds me of this great song.
in case you didn’t see them in my twitter feed – i was recently on a couple other blogs that friends of mine write.
first up, i wrote a review of the old town alexandria restaurant Vermillion over at brunch and the city about a trip i made over there a saturday or two ago.
second, i was also quoted (read: ranted) over at yut media in their post Venting Session: Disabling Embedding in YouTube.
be sure to check them both out
